Multnomah Falls

Yesterday, we showed my kids Multnomah Falls, and we hiked the trail up to the top. We made it 3/4 of the way, then we made a U turn and hiked down because my oldest sister was so tired. This was my second time hiking and realized how much I love hiking. I think I should go hiking more often. Hiking is a perfect way to exercise, explore, and enjoy nature’s beauty. My kids love hiking as well, and they really wanted to keep going. After that, we showed the kids the countryside and Oregon wine country. They truly enjoyed nature and had a delightful time.

Multnomah Falls

The falls drop in two major steps, split into a upper fall of 542 feet (165m) and a lower falls of 69 feet (21m) with a gradual 9 feet (3m) drop in elevation between the two, so the total height is about 620 feet (189m). It is the tallest waterfall in Oregon.

This photo was taken after we finished the hiking. The sun came out just in time. This picture was taken at the same spot with the picture above before we started hiking.
The Trail
I tried to capture the trail while hiking through it to share with you guys.

The sun came out through the woods.

The end of hiking, look!..the kids were tired.
Today, we’ll go to the zoo, Washington park, Chinese garden…

Wishing you all a wonderful day!!! hugs…Hanh ;-)

  2. Hi Hanh
Last year I went to Oregon and I climbed that exact waterfall trail, it's too bad you weren't able to make it to the top because when you get to the top you stand on a platform ledge right above the waterfall and its a really cool view from the top and looking down at the sheer drop of the waterfall
Thank you again for visiting http://www.mattressesandmetal.blogspot.com
If you have a chance you should go to cannonbeach in Oregon, its a cute little town with great seafood and even though you probably won't be able to swim in the water (Oregon is always cloudy/cold/wet) it is a great town with lots of little shops

  3. Hi Hanh! Yes, isn't hiking such a great way to experience nature and get in some exercise? I wish I could do it more often myself. Your daughters and nephew are too adorable! Love the last photo.. that's how I'd be after a day of hiking! :)

  4. All these photos are so beautiful, everything is so lush and green and vibrant and full of life. Gah I sound corny, hah.

Seriously makes me want to go hiking to see sights like this…

  5. good eve, hanh!

what a breathtaking view from portland!!!!
the M. Falls reminds me of one of the beautiful falls up in Maine.
hanh, you must visit Maine. It's so beautiful up there.

the kiddos are so cute, again!

    have fun!

  6. Beautiful landscape photos. I love nature, my husband and I used to do this in autumn and in spring. It's a fun way to appreciate nature and exercise at the same time. :)

The kids are adorable. I love the last photo where your husband was hugging your eldest. So sweet!:)

  7. OMG!!! Love the pics, babe! I'm so glad and happy for you and your family — you're the most amazing mom to your kids and I pray you continue being so! Your daughters are so happy and carefree because they have such great parents as their support! It's so essential for children's well-being today, where the society's culture has taken away values and morals of people. I pray and hope I'll be a good parent myself in the future and remember you as my inspiration!

    PS: I've linked you!!! I can't believe I haven't! Hope you wouldn't mind!

    Love, Adeliet
