Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2011 Collection private event

I was honored to get an invitation from Balenciaga to attend the S/S2011 collection private event in Paris, along with Sea_of_shoes, Atlantis Home, and The little Fashion Treasury. We had an awesome time and great experience trip. The event was wonderful and the collection is just amazing. Thank you Balenciaga for the chance to see the collection in person and the opportunity to try on some pieces. The cut, the style is edgy, masculine but feminine. I especially love the wet-looking, plasticized textures, which Jane and I joked that Nicolas Ghesquiere must have been inspired from his kitchen Ziploc button-down shirts. Again, his design shows terrific work when the handmade and the technological meet. Too bad! no photo allowed at the event. You always could view it at style.com. But the photo doesn’t do its justice.
