We had an amazing Easter Sunday. I hope you had an amazing day too!
Here is our little Easter garden that the kids decorated. Oh! Easter bunny and his egg…so cute!

Thank you Easter bunny for dropping us a few presents at our Easter garden. You’re always so kind and sweet to the children.

After Easter egg hunting, we played Mexican confetti eggs. Following Mexican tradition, Easter confetti eggs are often broken over someone’s head as a symbol of good luck. It’s a part of the holiday celebration.

We were ready for racing the flying paper air-planes.

Time for sweet.

3pm snack time: we all enjoyed our red velvet cake and berries smoothie while watching the Home Alone movie. YUM!!!

The kids were playing bubble blowing while the adults were chatting and grilling some meat for dinner.

Look at this one! It’s the coolest bubble ever!

“Mama, I’m getting good at blowing bubblegum” :D

Cute little baby!

Time for dinner :D
Apple, grape, dried cranberry, and arugula salad with balsamic vinaigrette is one of my favorite salads that it’s easy to prepare at home.

Grilled lamb, chicken, and rose wine.

Berries pie for dessert.

Have a wonderful day to you all!! xoxo…Hanh:)

Sweet Look

Christopher Ross Rabbit buckle belt. I found most of my CR pieces from eBay with great deals, and a couple from Christopher Ross website.
Balenciaga dress and shoes.
BCBG ring.
Feeling like dressing up and spending Good Friday with my girls. I normally don’t dress up like this when I’m with my kids, but once in awhile it’s fun. We had an amazing time. We especially enjoyed the nails spa time. They behaved like elegant ladies. It was like a growing up experience for my kids…Baking cookies for Easter Bunny was one of the best parts, and flying the paper air-planes was also a blast…Family happy time!!
Anyway, this outfit with the Christopher Ross rabbit buckle belt is perfect for Easter. Oh! my blue nail polish! It’s a lovely bright blue; OPI Ogre-the-top-blue. I love the fact that it’s so deep and reminds me of the ocean or the pool. It’s a great color for spring and summer. I’ve enjoyed it as much as the yellow nail polish.
Wishing you all a happy Easter day and a wonderful week ahead!xo…Hanh :)

Grappa

If you are in Park City Utah, and hungry for Italian food. I highly recommended Grappa restaurant. It’s located in Park City’s historic Main street. The restaurant is narrow and 3 stories high. It’s very charming and has friendly almostphere . The food was so light, fresh, and prepared with simple ingredients. Dining here was so delightful that we came back twice during our stay in Park City.

Hanna Bernhard Turtle Pin

Up Date: For my readers who concerns about ordering Hanna Bernhard customized pieces, I got the answer from them : “If anyone wants to order a piece from us, they are very welcome! You can write to us through our site www.french-bakelite.com or directly to our address : nbernhar@noos.fr”
To know more details, check out their post, here.
In Asia, the turtle represents cosmic order: its shell is symbolic of the enlightenment/heavens, its body symbolic of earth, and its under-shell represents the underworld. The turtle has been known as a symbol of longevity, protection, strength, and patience. To me, its a symbol for being lucky. I’ve noticed that every time when I see a turtle, a good thing will come to me. Is it too superstitious? Anyway, I love turtles.

I adore this Hanna Bernhard turtle pin. It also can be a pendant necklace. Hanna Bernhard jewelry is always special.

It was on the stand.
I wore this outfit long ago to meet the Hanna Bernhard team for lunch when they visited Dallas; my old Dries sweater, old Marni shoes, MMMargiela, and F21 legging.
Photos were taken by my husband and me.
Wishing you all a longevity and a lucky life!!!xo…Hanh!

Shocking Colors

The colors of this outfit are bright and intense. Shocking colors!! Yes, I had fun with it. I can’t tell you how much I love this Balenciaga jacket, beyond just love…I’ve got so many compliments whenever I wear it, wherever I go. I’m so glad that I got it, its color is gorgeous and its shape is cool. Especially, it’s kinda wet looking that made it more different. Lately, I’m adding a lot of red into my wardrobe…yes, and more colors too…
I love a little touch of the signature red sole of the Christian Louboutin to this outfit. Perfect!

J-brand jeans, Christian Louboutin Lady Daf pumps, Celine bag.

High-Low Fashion

Forever21 is a great store and it’s one of my favorite stores forever. I really can find some stuff here to treasure. This yellow clutch is one of my great clutches from Forever21 which I purchased it sometime long ago.
….and this Prada blue/navy faux fur is from this spring 2011 season. I brought it home from my past trip for Paris Fashion Week.

I love the blue/yellow colors combination of these Balenciaga shoes.

Haider Ackermann top and Proenza Schouler skirt are from past seasons.

Have a wonderful day ahead, everyone!! xoxo…Hanh :)

Summer Salad

Although it’s not summer yet, I am already yearning for watermelon. The other day I felt like I wanted something fresh like watermelon for dinner, so I ended up make this summer salad. As you know, in most of my cooking, I only like to follow a few recipes. Like my fashion creation, I like to create my own recipes because of its adventure and fun. Here is my summer salad recipe:
Ingredients: Here is my choice of fruits. You could replace or add more fruit that you love, or some green leaf vegetable such as arugula is perfect…I’m also thinking of adding dry fruit, such as dry cranberries and pine nuts.
  • 4 cups cube-cut watermelon.
  • 1 cup small cut oranges.
  • 2 cups red and yellow cherry tomatoes.
  • A handful of chopped peppermint.
  • 2 avocados that you slice thinly.
  • Orange olive oil dressing: A mixture of 3 oz fresh quezzed orange juice, 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil, 1 young teaspoon sea-salt, 1 oz of balsamic vinaigrette.

Direction: Mix the dressing and all the the ingredients above together in a big bowl with a gentle mix (except the avocados). After mixing, put the avocados on top. It’s ready to serve for 4-6 people. This is easy and quick to prepare. It is fresh and healthy. Enjoy!!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!!! xoxo…Hanh :)

Ski at Deer Valley and Park City- Utah

Although this post is a little bit late to post, but I thought it is a great information for you who plan a ski trip for the winter coming-up.
DEER VALLEY SKI MOUNTAIN RESORT
If you are skiers, you would like Deer Valley Mountain Ski Resort, where they allow ski only, no snowboarding. Another thing that’s great is that they have limited lift-ticket selling. Therefore, it’s less traffic, safe to ski here, and the lines at the ski lifts are short. Deer Valley Resort offers six ski mountains and proudly hosted the Olympic Winter 2002 games as slalom, aerial, mogul events. It has been rated the #1 ski resort in North America an unprecedented four years in a row in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 by the readers of SKI Magazine. And us??…We definitely vote for Deer Valley.

PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT
Park City Mountain Resort offer seven peaks, and it is a favorite of experienced skiers and snowboarders. I can see most snowboarders love it here because of amazing slopes that’s perfect for their snowboarding techniques. It was home to the 2002 winter Olympics Games and it also has been ranked top 10 by SKI Magazine and Transworld Snowboarding Magazine for five consecutive years. If you want to ski at nighttime, no problem, the lifts are closed at 7:30 pm. Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Mountain resort are both synonymous with world-class runs and light, dry powder. Oh! I almost forgot that you should take the Alpine Coaster Ride while you are at Park City. It is an amazing fun ride for the family.
PARK CITY’S MAIN STREET
If you want to take a day off from the mountain activities, Park City’s Main street is a street to explore. It is located in the heart of old town on Park City where you can find shopping stores, galleries, nightclub, restaurants… whether you are in the mood for different cuisine as Vietnamese, Thai, American, Mexican, Italian, French…Everything is an easy walking distance from each other. Park City’s Main street is the home of internationally famous Sundance Film Festival which is in January.
Window shopping at Main street.

Main street at night. It was snowing.

Have a wonderful week ahead!!! xoxo…Hanh :)
