In Top 5 shortlisted for the Style-passport Hg2 Stylish City Blog 2012

Thank you everyone for your love, support, and your votes! I was so happy to make it to top 5. I was surprised to even be nominated for the Style Passport Hg2 Stylish City Blog 2012 in the top 20, when I got the email. It was huge to be in the same list of so many big time bloggers. It’s all I wanted. Top 5 is a great honor for me. Many thanks to everyone who voted and thank you Style Passport and Hg2 for the opportunity!

Woman in Red

Red is my new obsession color. Wearing this outfit for the Comme des Garcons fall2012 runway show in Paris got Mr Bill Cunningham’s attention. He gave me a nice compliment “perfect styling” after he photographed my look. This was so flattering. He continued: “You should go inside before you will get wet and cold” (because it was about to rain). This is huge because he is a quiet man. It was such a lovely moment that I will adore forever. He is so sweet! I hope the photo turns out to be good enough to be published in his column. In the mean time, it was great to see this look in the New York Times Style streetstyle page, photo submitted by Le look. It was nice what was written with the photo: ‘ The red collar fur that softens the leather look and emphasizes the elegance of the model”

I wore this look again with Christian Louboutin heels to attend a fashion party in Dallas last week. Kristi and Scot Redman who are the greatest photographers, fashion editors for D Magazine, captured my look for their famous StreetSheet, fashion column of D magazine. Their photography is amazing. Thank you both for the two photos below!!

In Marie Claire

I had a free day during Paris Fall 2012 fashion week. So my sweet friend, Martina from Me and Mietz, and I wanted to take some photos of Paris street style. This is what I wore. Obviously, my McQueen boots and Sue Gragg leather choker necklace got Guerre’s attention. Guerre is a photographer for Marie Claire’s street style page.

Blue-White-Earthy Tones

The photos were captured at spring break during my stay in Deer Valley, Park city, Utah. I loved the colors in the first photo; beautiful blue sky, white snow, and earthy tones of those sleeping trees. This inspired me that someday soon, I’ll put together my outfit with these colors combos and I’ll share it here. For now, I hope you enjoy the beautiful photos of nature.

In the photo below, i got a feeling of infinity between the snow and the cloud.

In Style In Vogue In ModMods

Wearing this outfit to Balenciaga fall 2012 runway show. This outfit got a lot of street style photographers’s attention, especially these killer Balenciaga boots.

Off The Slopes Style: Bright Yellow

To me, yellow is not for the feint hearted. Wear yellow to present a cheerful, uplifting effect, it makes us feel happy, optimistic. I actually thought this sunshine color looked great against the white snow color; a surprisingly unconventional apres ski look. This outfit is perfect for spring break, a great off the slopes look. It’s also a terrific street style look in the city for a chilly day.

One nice part of skiing during spring break is that the weather is more pleasant and not as harsh as skiing during winter break.

This little beauty case is my kid’s carry-on when they travel. It was a gift from their aunt. It’s a good size for them to carry and for storing their books, iPad, headphone, chapstick, their tiny favorite stuffed animal, and their best friend’s photo.

I found that the case complimented this outfit; a fun, happy feeling to it.

The New Architectural Après Ski Style

Skiing is my favorite sport. I love enjoying the blue skies, crisp white snow, or even the gray skies and heavy snow…the cold just wakes me up. I love to sniff that cold air.

Dressing for warmth is easy, but dressing for both warmth and style on the slopes or for après ski is fun and adventurous.

I found this architectural winter vest from the final sale at Forty Five Ten boutique in Dallas. It’s a perfect piece for adding to my glamour ski pack. I love its dramatic cinch waist and puff out.

Adding the classic glamour element into this look by styling it with this Balenciaga scarf which it was used as a head scarf.

Another lucky find, I found these fabulous winter boots from the final sale at Barneys. They’re the most stylish après ski boots around. They’re so comfy (my Burberry winter boots can’t compare), easy putting on or taking off, yet chic. They’re my favorite one now.
