Bergdorf Goodman Windows

Every time I have a chance to visit New York city, I always to make sure I visit Bergdorf Goodman.  It’s not only because what merchandise is inside the store, but also because their windows.  They always have impressive windows to admire.  It’s very inspirational.  I wish I had a chance to decorate their windows one day.  Who knows! My dream might come true.  Anything is possible in America, we call it the ‘American Dream’. :)

I hope you enjoy BGwindows  as much as I do.  Have a lovely day to you all! xo…Hanh :)

Smokin’ Red Lips

I’m obsessed with this Lynn Ban smoking lips necklace. I love it because of its playful attitude. It’s fun to style with many looks.  You actually could style it with a flirty look or girly look to give it a little touch of edginess, and of course it goes well with your rock-‘n’-roll look.

Wearing: Ann Demeulemeester top, Balenciaga leggings and shoes, Lynn Ban smoking lips necklace, Comme des Garcons consignment bag, Nina Ricci sunnies, McQueen skull ring, and ‘Rock’ ring designed by my little daughter for Sue Gragg.

Mother-Daughter Moments…

My little girl and I had a chance to visit New York city, while my husband was on a trip with my big girl in Costa Rica.  This was our first time to do one-on-on trip with the girls, so they got full attention from dad and mom.  We did a lot of fun activities.  We had an amazing time and so much of sweet mother-daughter moments that we’ll cherish forever.

We were at the top of Empire State Building and at New York Public Library.

We both enjoyed shopping at Zara.  The Zara on 5th Ave-53rd Street is the best.  All Zara stores open until 10:00 p.m everyday.

My little girl posed on the street and in front of Zara’s window.  She is a happy kid and she made our trip so much fun.

On the street at Times Square.  Believe or not, she loved to go to Apple store at 5th Ave almost everyday during our stay in NYC for new fun games :)

My little girl enjoyed so much ‘Newsies’, a broadway show.  We also  enjoyed Museum of Natural History, fiber handmade paper, and a program called ‘Fashion Through Ages’ at the Met.  You could arrange these activities through Discover New York and Beyond, their guides will tour your kids through any program with fun and adventure.

After my little girl learned about Prada and Schiaparelli through fashion exhibition at the Met and visited Fenton Fallon Jewelry studio/design-room, she has determined to be a fashion designer for clothing and jewelry. She always shows her interest in art and fashion.  After this trip, she has gained more her great energy.

Another part of this trip that we enjoyed very much was the Food Hall at The Plaza.  We visited it so many times during our stay, of course we couldn’t say no with macarons and sweet treats there.

What I wore: Hot pink top from Free People, Isabel Marant (purchased from VOD boutique).  Ann Demeulemeester white top, Zara pink jeans.  Zara red/blue lips top and white washed jeans, Junya Watanabe jacket, Celine red heels sandals (purchased on sale at Barneys), I holst Lee choker, Lynn Ban smoking lips necklace.   Madewell yellow tee (similar here), Rag&Bone jeans, Cole Haan oxford.  Zero Maria Cornejo dress, Marni necklace from Net-a-Porter, Pono by Joan Goodman belt, Rebecca Minkoff bag. All bracelets from Fenton Fallon jewelry line.

What my girl wore: Jacket from Crewcuts. Tops, shorts, and skirt from Zara.  Shoes from H&M.

I hope you all enjoy this post!   Wishing everyone a wonderful day ahead! xo…Hanh :)

Around New York City

This time, I visited New York city with my little girl and I didn’t bring my big camera.  All the pictures were taken with my iPhone and Instagram.  I have to say Instagram is awesome, it really enhances your pictures nicely (please, make sure you follow me on Instagram).  We had amazing time and did a lot of things. In this post, I’d like to share pictures that I captured “The Big Apple” city during our stay.

The Plaza.

The fountain in front of the Plaza. The building behind is Berfdorf Goodman.

In front of Apple store on 5th Avenue. Great gathering scene of food carts at night.  Fun!

An old church at the corner of 5th avenue and 55th street.

Columbus Circle. And the Wholefood at this location is amazing.

Times Square.  It always has different energy here.

The Rock at Rockefeller Center at night. It’s really fun to hang out here on a beautiful night.

We toured through the New York Public Library.  It’s the beautiful library that I’ve ever seen.

Statue of Liberty seen from a boat on Hudson river.

The beautiful view from 86th stories high of the Empire State Building.

The stunning view from 102nd stories high of Empire State Building. You pay an extra $17 for going up.  Can you see Central Park?  It’s a bit off your top left hand-side and it has a lake in the middle.

Graffiti in Soho.

I take a picture of this stairs every time I visit Opening Ceremony. Don’t you love the poem?

A news-stand on the street.

I hope you enjoy this post. Wishing you all a happy Sunday and a wonderful week ahead! xo…Hanh :)

Feng Shui Fashion

When I put this outfit together I wanted to bring Feng Shui into fashion, just for fun!

In China the frog is an emblem of Yin energy and thought of as good luck.  It’s also a symbol of renewal, opportunity.  While the gold fish brings good luck in the form of tranquility, wisdom and long life.  Feng Shui gold fish (and similarly so do other Feng Shui fish) is also a symbol of wealth and prosperity.  About water, it is meant to help the flow of balance, harmony and prosperity into one’s life.

So I guess whenever I wear this outfit I will get all the luck :) Lol!! Do you believe in Feng Shui? Please tell :)

My beloved Sue Gragg princess frog.  I love this ring so much!! And the clutch was from Grange Hall, a small unique boutique in Dallas.

Wearing: Forever21 tee, second hand Yohji Yamamoto fishes skirt, Nicholas Kirkwood heels (similar here), Beavaldes clutch, Sue Gragg ring, and Assad Mounser necklace from Forty Five Ten boutique (or similar here).

Pattern Play

Playing with pattern and colors is always fun.  Pattern and vivid shades are summer’s eye-catching looks.

When I saw this T-Shirt  on sale at Madewell, I thought it would style well with my Christopher Kane skirt from last spring which I also purchased on sale.  The color and pattern of the skirt is such a bright statement, it makes you want to pair it with something not too overwhelming. So the hue of this yellow tee and its print is about right.  The clutch is a great element to add to bring this look to a complicated and interesting level.  And the bracelets tied the outfit and the clutch together. Oh! My neon green nail polish, I didn’t mean to match for this look. But, hey, it looked great. :)

Wearing: Madewell T-shirt , Christopher Kane skirt, Fendi clutch, Ysl tribute pumps (similar here), Sue Gragg frog ring, and bracelets from Madewell and from a Paris local store.

Metallic Hot Pink

I had a chance to meet Kelly Wearstler at Forty Five Ten.  She is a young, beautiful, and talented lady.  She is an American interior designer and fashion designer.  In 1995, Wearstler opened her design firm, Kelly Wearstler Interior Design (Kwid).  In spring 2011, she launched her own eponymously named fashion line, Kelly Wearstler.

The T-shirt I wore in this post was a special edition for Forty Five Ten.  I love her color choice; washed blue and metallic hot pink.  I thought it would be perfect to pair it with my pink Marni necklace.  Pink on pink.  The bronze of these Rodarte boots gave a great compliment to the bronze detail of the necklace.  In this look, I like how the cutting edge of these boots added edginess and these Forever21 white shorts broke the pink  down.  Yet, the softness of the outfit combined with the edginess of the heels.  To complete the look, I added fun bracelets from Gap, a Hermes watch, neon hot pink nails, and of course my favorite lipstick shade-Ysl Rouge Pur #49.

The Junya Watanabe jacket added a cool, edgy feeling to the look.
