Skiing Chic

For some  skiers, dressing chic on the slopes is something they can’t neglect. It’s as important as their time off the slopes. Finding a great chic, classic, and most fashionable statement skiing outfit for the slopes is essential. It’s worth investing in great skiing attire because you will use it every ski season for years to come.

I purchased this Prada white outfit over 10 years ago, and I still wear it. I love this clean white winter look!

This is my second skiing look for alternation. They’re also Prada. You can’t go wrong with this classic combo-black and gray. This outfit also looks so chic on the slopes. I love the ruffled details in the front of the jacket.

Enjoy your last weekend of 2012! Hope everyone have a wonderful one! xo…Hanh :)

New Year’s Eve

What are you planning to wear for the new year’s eve party?  This is my current obsession look to bring in the new year: Givenchy top, ASOS lace leggings, Margiela jewelry, DVF clutch, and Jimmy Choo pumps. There! I’m ready! It’s a fun, sexy, chic, edgy look-perfect for a new year’s eve party.

Good luck to everyone on finding your perfect look and have fun! xo…Hanh :)

Holiday Fun

I wanted to wear this look for a holiday party. It’s perfect, actually. It was so fun to style this outfit- casual yet fancy and elegant. One of the fun parts was that I had another chance to bring out my Calvin Klein fancy wedding skirt (it was a part of my wedding dress in 2000) and styled it with my new Urban Outfitters casual plaid shirt. I remember I wore my wedding dress once with Ann Demeulemeester 14 buckles corset belt for New Year 2010’s party (see it here).

Jewelry: Necklace was a gift from Fenton Fallon. Bracelets from Madewell, Eddie Borgo, and Cartier. Sue Gragg ring.

The Balenciaga Haute Sweatshirt

I’m in love with this Balenciaga oversized haute sweatshirt. It’s super fun to style it. It could work with skinny trousers, jeans, long skirt, shorts…Yes, you could find an 80’s sweatshirt of this trend. But this one is so cool and different, it’s a fun piece to add to your wardrobe.

Wearing: Balenciaga sweatshirt and skirt, Margiela x H&M candy clutch bag, Jill Sander thigh-high boots, Celine blue cuff, Sue Gragg bangles, and Thiery Larsy sunnies.

Autumn Leaves

The falling leaves drift by the window.  The autumn leaves of red and gold.  I see your lips, the summer kisses…

The sun-burned hands I used to hold…

Since you went away….

This photo-shoot inspired by the song “Autumn Leaves”

Wearing: Black sheer cape designed by Life•in•Style (my label, see more of the cape’s details here), Forever21 black skirt, Rick Owens jacket, and Ysl boots.

Have a lovely day to you all! xo…Hanh :)

Casual Daily

Here is my casual uniform for running errands, traveling around w/ my kids- a simple tee, a pair of skinny jeans, a pair of comfy shoes but stylish, a bare face (or extremely light make-up) and sometimes I don’t carry a bag (credit card, ID, car keys are in my pocket). Throw on  a jacket and scarf if it’s cold.

Sometimes, put on a hat to hide my messy hair. Also, wearing sunglasses is a great way to hide my bare face :)

Look 1: Madewell tee and jeans, Giuseppe Zanotti wedge sneakers, Rick Owens jacket, Yigal scarf, and Thierry Lasry sunnies.

Look 2: Balenciaga leggings and jacket, CdG sweater, Isabel Marant boots, Celine bag, no brand sunnies (purchased them on the street), Forever 21 hat.

Have a wonderful day, everyone! xo…Hanh :)

Dark Romance

I wanted an all black look to go against the beautiful fall foliage colored background in order to express “dark romance”.  This look and the movement in these photos truly reveal that powerful emotion.

Wearing: Vintage Lace beaded cloche hat (it’s a gift from Neiman Marcus), Nha Khanh thumb-hole mesh top underneath Rick Owens dress, Ann Demeulemeester 14 buckles corset belt from Fall09, Sue Gragg ring, and McQueen boots.

Breaking Rules is always In Style

I wore this look a few weeks ago during the early fall. Finally, I have a chance to share it. Fall white, winter white…some people say ‘No white after Labor day’. This rule is not for me. I’m a rule breaker….Style is always in season!

Instead of a traditional black leather jacket, bring out your favorite leather jacket in white. You can wear white well in the chilly fall or brutal cold winter months by putting a unique spin on it. Mix things up with a bright colors and layer your whites with shades like vivid pink, poppy red, deep forest green, great burgundy. Top it all off with neutral accessories like a camel clutch and tortoise shell shades. Certain rules are meant to be broken. But there is a rule, however, that I follow: I don’t wear linen for fall/winter. Perhaps a white linen dress is inappropriate for a 50-degree day. The question is not so much whether white is acceptable in the fall/winter, but rather, how can it be done tastefully. Wear your fall/winter white with confidence! Learn the rules for pulling of the look and then Rock It Out! After all, you have to master the rules before you can break them. What do you think? What are some others “fashion rules” that need to be broken? Please, share!

Wearing: Palmer Harding pre-fall white skirt, The Row shirt, Celine jacket, Christian Louboutin daffodil pumps, faux collar fur and bag from Miu Miu. Bracelets from Cartier, Hermes, and Eddie Borgo.
