Which fashion week are you attending? Most importantly…. what designers are you anxious to drool over?!! I have been on youtube non-stop watching the shows and let me just say… there is a lot to look at!! I have been shooting a lot so I am anxious to show you some new work, but meanwhile here is one of my favorite pics of my shoot with Shayna Fontana. I got to shoot with her again recently so I can’t wait to see those pics!
What are you most excited about this fashion season?!
Model wearing : Dries Van Noten fur jacket, Comme des Garcons floral jacquard dress, Celine heels. All are available at Forty Five Ten.
So December is finally here and the Papercity cover I styled is out. In my last post I covered the shoot I styled and even posted a very vague #BehindTheScenes shot by Heather Lettieri. I had the pleasure to work with talented photographer Shayna Fontana who shot the cover. I got a chance to use the Hanna Bernhard dragon necklace made for Hanh Merriman-Life in Travel for the cover shot. Let me tell you this piece is quite the piece, incredible. So if you happen to be in Dallas or Houston pick up the latest issue. You will soon see more from this very talented group.

Last week I had the pleasure of working with such an amazing group of artists. ”Trapped in the 60′s” was the theme of the photo-shoot. Walking into Heather Lettieri’s grandmother’s house was just that! It was beautiful and decked out in beautiful antiques and glassware. Remy is such a beautiful Wallflower/ model. Here is a black and white preview. I can’t show too much because you will soon see more!

I recently had the pleasure of styling Tricia Rollo from page Parkes in some Fall/Winter dresses and sweaters. I must say she killed it! Here are some shots of the photo-shoot!

I must admit I am very excited about this post! I mean how many times do i get to use a crown for a fashion spread? When I got to the location of the fashion shoot i noticed a great set of 19th century Chinese doors at the front entrance. I couldn’t imagine a better place to use this Miao crow of the Miao people in China that represents wealth, beauty, and tradition. Here we have Brittany as ‘Modern Day Crown Beauty”. I find it incredible how these people made these beautiful crowns! I find beauty in jewelry from different cultures around the world. It reminds me of a recent post Hanh-Life in Travel did where she wore a vintage Persian necklace and antique Tibetian cuff (to see it here and here). Explore different cultures and take inspiration from them just like Hanh and I have! Here is a sample of the editorial shoot. I hope you like it! – Carlos Alonso @cfashionstyle.

As you already know from my last post I am obsessed with sweaters for this next season! When I think of a sweater I think of something intimate, but can dress up any outfit by pairing it up with right accessories, bag, and heels. Recently, I have styled several spreads and sweaters have been a BIG focus. 3.1 Phillip Lim, Chanel, Celine, Alexander Wang, and Helmut lang to name a few of my favorites. Stores are stocked with them now so start early and take your time to build your Fall/Winter wardrobe! Take inspiration from your favorite bloggers and stylists to build a smart closet. Don’t forget to add some reds to your wardrobe. I’m excited to see what Hanh Merriman and all you other fashion obsessed peeps are stirring up for Fall/Winter.
