Sorry For The Delay in Posting

Hi guys! I hope you’re doing well. Sorry for the lack of posting. I had a long journey in Vietnam to take care of both of my sick parents. It was the best I could do to be there with them and give them support, love, caring, and comfort.  I’m already back in the US with my girls and my family. My mom is doing better now, but my dad is on and off. We have tried everything for him and he has taken so many different Western and Eastern medicines, but in his case it is not a simple cure. He’s 89 years old, and I don’t know how much longer he’ll be with us. It is painful. I just talked to my mom this morning and he is NOT doing well. I understand that things are sometimes out of your control and we must leave things in God’s hands. My dad is a good man, has a big heart… Yes, he is a tough man.

You always learn something and gain valuable lessons in your life when you go through these things- happy or difficult times. I’ve learned. It’s difficult to resume my blog posts because my mind is with my parents and I worry about them. Last week, I tried to get myself together to have a photoshoot for the blog. But this morning, after hearing my dad is not doing well today, I’m feeling so so sad and off. I want you to understand what is happening to my blog and me.

THANK YOU everyone for your patience and understanding. I’ll try to resume my post regularly. Also, THANK YOU for your love and support! Wishing you days full of love, peace, health and happiness. Hanh

My dad and mom were 63 years ago when they just married.

Fall Floral Inspirations

I enjoy doing floral arrangements so much. It makes me happy.  In this post, I’d like to share a couple of chic ideas for fall floral decorating.

I’ve saved Hermes boxes and ribbons throughout the years. The Hermes box is very pretty and chic, and its color has a very fall feeling. So I stacked these boxes up to be the base for my floral arrangement.

Wrapping Hermes ribbon around the vase is a cool idea. You could recycle any of your pretty designer brand boxes and ribbons for this theme.

Do the same for your holidays treats. Use these Hermes boxes as cookies boxes. Make sure to add a few holiday theme decorations as you see here.  They are Halloween holiday cookies, so I added a owl and a little pumpkin.

The vase of the floral arrangement below was inspired by Tom Binns. I really love the color combo; hot pink ribbon, orange pumpkin plants, the red-pink hue of the filling flowers, and the white stone hue of the roses. It’s an unexpected color combo for a floral arrangement.

Louboutin shopping bag is so pretty. You could re-use it to deliver some beautiful flowers for your fashionable girlfriends, or you could put your floral arrangement inside the Louboutin shopping bag to decorate somewhere in a corner of your home.

Flowers in Hermes bag :). This was just for picture taking :)

StyledOn In Style for Fall 2012

I’m so flattered that I was featured in StyleOn! (here is previous article). They have considered me one of their favorite girls of Blog Loves. StyledOn has recently invited me to pick my top fall 2012 must-haves for their article “StyledOn Six: Blog Love’s Top Picks For Fall“. Thank you StyledOn and Ashley Ryan for the chance. It’s always pleasant working with you! So here are my top picks.

A leather jacket that walks the line between opulence and edgy is a must have. You will never go wrong with this Rick Owens jacket that everyone should have in their closets. The shearling of the jacket adds the luxury element. This jacket is a versatile one that you could pair with jeans, leggings, or evn a feminine dress to add a little dark romance.

Lace up booties are so sexy and classic. You always need them for the cold weather. I love shoes that have metal-piece decorations, doesn’t matter if it decorates at the toe or the heel. The metal element is just so in. And these Miu Miu booties are perfect for all of those, yet they are a versatile pair.

This fall, the velvet should do the trick. The jewel tone rich ruby reds, deep sapphires, and emerald green are hot colors this season. You can’t say no to this Junya Watanabe dress. Its sapphire color, the cut, the shape are just gorgeous. You can dress it up or down with different shoes. In fact, you could wear it daytime. It made number one outfit idea to steal out of 68 outfits from NYFW Spring 2013 according to Glamour Magazine when they posted me in front of Lincoln Center (see here).
