The Beauty of Yellow

I heart this yellow sunshine Celine bag. It was so fun to style it with these yellow Derome Brenner glasses . Yellow is always a good idea. It represents summer and really standing out. Yellow enlightens your day and gives you confidence. Yellow can take your outfit to another level. This statement gold belt was perfect to against the whole black look and a pop of bright yellow was great.

Wearing: Margiela body suit, Celine shorts and bag, Life•in•Style leather and lace collar- designed by me, Ysl pumps, Lanvin belt, Derome Brenner glasses, and vintage bracelet.

Of The Same Stripe

This is how I dressed for my casual lunch date. These Isabel Marant cropped jeans were purchased  many years back. I’ve worn them countless times this spring. Talking about countless times, I’ve worn this Lanvin necklace lately with every look. I hope this inspires you to put your own spin on the look and swap the striped pants for a button-down shirt, throw on a blazer, and get in the mood with a striped look for your day at work.

Look 1: Madewell tee, Isabel Marant jeans, Lanvin necklace, Derome Brenner glasses, Celine bag, pumps from NastyGal.

Look 2: Forever21 tank, Isabel Marant jeans, Lanvin necklace, sunnies from Nastygal, YsL heels, Salvatore Ferragamo bag.

Happy Sunday and have a wonderful week ahead! xo…Hanh :)

Spring Fling

I had fun styling this look- flowers on flowers on flowers, to express my spring fling. I kinda liked the hint of leftover dried leaves from the fall/winter in the background. Is it that I still don’t want to let the fall/winter go?! Hmm…The Spring mood is perfect. Can’t believe May is here. Enjoy your spring!
Wearing: Miu Miu blouse and skirt, Prada pumps, Erickson Beamon necklace (similar here), Beavaldes clutch, and ring from Aldo (similar here).

I enjoy pairing leather bracelets. They definitely give you a bold, edgy look.  This is my 101 ways to wear a bracelet. Don’t be afraid to stack them up; it only makes the look more individual. Mix and match is key, and don’t make it too busy. Start with one, and go from there. Bracelets are meant to give you extra attitude, and add statement to your wrist.

I like mixing high-low fashion. Wearing: random bracelet from vintage, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, Hermes, Cartier, Stella McCartney, The Woods, Mcqueen, Celine, Balenciaga, and bracelets from souvenir stores from traveling.

The Power of Pink

I sorted out my old photos and found this. This look is an unexpected bright and beautiful shade of pink. This powerful fuchsia pink really makes a great statement.

Wearing: Life•in•Style leather and lace collar- designed by me, Nha Khanh lace top and skirt, Nicholas Kirkwood pumps, Chanel bag, Nina Ricci sunnies, Eddie Borgo bracelet, and Sue Gragg earrings.

Have a lovely day to all! xo…Hanh :)

On The Prowl Print

I adore this Celine resort leather tunic/top. You could wear it as a coat, or a loose fitting leather dress. Its creamy, ivory soft leather with a touch of leopard is elegantly chic. I enhanced the look with bright yellow and green to show the spirit of the spring season.

Wearing: Celine leather top, my over 7 year old Forever21 yellow mini dress, Lanvin clutch, Charlotte Olympia pumps, Balenciaga bracelet and vintage bracelet.

Homemade Black Sesame Ice Cream

This is my home-made black sesame ice-cream. It’s easy to make and it’s delicious dessert infused with a hint of vanilla and the more dramatic nutty fragrance and flavor of toasty black sesame, which is almost akin to dark chocolate plus French roast coffee. It’s a favorite Asian dessert.  Black sesame seeds are rich in antioxidants, high protein, omega-6 fatty acids, vitamins and dietary fiber with potent anti-cancer. It offers several health related benefits.

  • 2 cups heavy cream (or half and half, but less creamy texture).
  • 1 cups milk.
  • 3/4 cup sugar.
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt.
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
  • 1 cup ground roasted black sesame (grind the black sesame seeds in a clean spice grinder until they turn into a medium coarse powder) .

  1. In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer on low speed or whisk to combine the milk, sugar and salt until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla. Cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours, or overnight.
  2. Turn on the ice cream maker, pour the mixture into the frozen freezer bowl and let mix until thickened, about 15 to 20 minutes. Five minutes before mixing is completed, add the ground roasted black sesame and let mix in completely. The ice cream will have soft creamy texture. If a firmer consistency is desired, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and place in freezer for about 2 hours. Remove from freezer about 10 minutes before serving.

 Yum yum!! Enjoy!

Have a lovely day to all! xo…Hanh :)

Dior for Spring

I was excited to attend the Christian Dior opening party a couple of weeks ago in Highland, Dallas.  I was in the mood to mix black and pink that night. The feminine edginess makes it a perfect fit.

Wearing: Christian Dior spring 2013 necklace and pumps, Isabel Marant blouse, Balenciaga skirt, Prada handbag.  ‘love’ ring designed by my little girl.
